Often called the Blue Lagoon of the north, but quieter and more affordable, Earth Lagoon (formerly Mývatn Nature Baths) holds warm, mineral rich water looking out over a vast volcanic landscape. Earth Lagoon is reopening in early summer 2026 after a full renovation.

A large, milky blue lagoon with steam rooms, a warm setting, and wide views across the Mývatn region's craters and lava fields.

Near Lake Mývatn in north Iceland, about an hour east of Akureyri.

Year round; soak under the midnight sun in summer or the aurora in the dark months.
